About Us
We are a new collaborative organization bringing together non-profits, child welfare agencies, and neighbors like you!
We exist to meet the needs of our neighbors in Shiawassee County and are in need of your support.
What’s the Plan?
We are launching a new monthly gathering in early 2024, in a renewed effort to meet the needs of foster and adoptive families, as well as foster youth and their families! Monthly gatherings will be taking place on the 2nd Monday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, in or near Owosso, MI, and will include a shared meal, childcare on site, relevant training, discussion topics, and more!
These gatherings will be provided totally free to the community and are for anyone who wants to learn about foster and adoption services, anyone currently serving in these areas, or anyone looking for ways to be engaged and support this work.

How can I Help?
We are in need of a number of resources and donations to make this possible. If you are able to help with any of the following or have any ideas to help with these needs, please contact us!
- Meeting space – we are looking for a space available on the 2nd Monday evening of every month, from 5pm to 8pm. This space would ideally be easily located by community members, have two separate areas for adults and kids, and allow food, drinks, and games.
- Food – We love tacos, and hope you do too. We will have a taco bar each month, as well as drinks, dessert, and kids snacks. We would love to know if you, your organization/company, or someone else may be willing to signup and provide a part of the meal each month.
- Resources for us to share with the community – Do you know of any resources or opportunities for foster families in Shiawassee County (and beyond)? Share them with us so we can pass them on!
